Greentoppers Students for Campus Sustainability is planning an amazing event for later this month. Here is some information about all that’s going on. Please note the photography contest at the bottom. For more information about the Greentoppers visit http://www.wku.edu/green/index.htm.
04/27/07 (Fri) WKU Earth Days Festival! 11:30am-7:30pm, South Lawn, WKU campus.
This is a festival to celebrate and learn about the Earth! Throughout the day we will have speakers, bands, booths, movies, and events all for the enjoyment and education of our guests. Everyone is encouraged to stop by and enjoy this great event!
- Music - Eric Wilson and the Empty Hearts, Mr. Dink, Kyte, Josh Beasley, Mark Walker, Jordan Pendley.
- Speakers - Bonny McDonald (Greenhouse Poetry), Wes Berry (English Dept.), and Lydia Nelson (National Champion Forensics Speaker).
- Booths and activities - Greentoppers, Starbucks Coffee, Honda/Toyota Hybrids, BG Green, The Nutrition Center, Lost River Cave, Wild Bird and Nature Store, Horticulture Club, Light Bulb Exchange, WKU Parking and Transportation , others.
- Plus - Film Tent, Tie-Dye A Shirt Tent, Drum Circles, Photography Contest, Hackey-Sack Tournament, and , John Guitzeit’s Bike Powered Smoothie Machine, T-shirt sale to support Greentopper projects.

Photography Contest featuring images showing anything that is positive to the environment or any human action that shows conservation. Submit photos at the festival from 11:00-12:30 on South Lawn; there will be signs. Winners will be announced later that day. Two categories: Action and Still. Size: 8×10 inches, no framing or matting. Put your name, phone, and email on back of your picture. No post-editing, please: raw photos only.
