I won’t be able to make it, of course, but for those of you still reading this blog from Kentucky, I want to encourage you to plan on attending KFTC’s 2008 Annual Membership Meeting in October. Here’s some event info at Facebook or you can get more from the KFTC website.

KFTC is a very important organization that does a lot of good for Kentucky in economic and environmental justice work. Meredith and I were able to get only a little involved before we left Kentucky and we were sad to leave behind such a good group of people. They need your help, Kentuckians!

If you’re not sure what area you could help KFTC work in, here’s a small list of campaigns and areas of focus. This is just a partial list.
  • Mountain Top Removal
  • Voter Empowerment, Voter’s Rights
  • Housing Rights
  • Immigration Issues
  • …and more.
