Bands, booths, bikes and baked goods - The Second Annual Earth Day Festival at WKU, organized by the campus GreenToppers Students for Campus Sustainability, will be held on campus all day long. All are welcome to enjoy lots of live music from Just Us, Mr. Dink, Jordan Pendley, Steven and the Ghosts (I saw Steven and the Ghosts at Bread and Bagel the other day - really good stuff), and Joey Coe, booths with information and giveaways from local businesses, demonstrations, activities and more. The festivities will run from 10:30am to 8:00pm on the South Lawn (beside Downing). What else? Let’s see…why not bring your bike for the Critical Mass Bike Ride? There will also be a ribbon cutting ceremony for the long overdue recycling bin (kudos to Christian and everybody who made that happen!) There will also be an Energy Star light bulb exchange booth and Arbor Day tree bagging preparations. There are a lot more things scheduled but I’ll move on to number two.
