Last month, on June 22-24, I drove up to Chicago with my friend CJ to take part in the 3rd National assembly of United for Peace and Justice (the largest national anti-war coalition). We went there as delegates from the Omni Center for Peace Justice & Ecology, a local Fayetteville Group. Over 300 people attended representing around 200 groups. Their continued existence argues that it is possible to create workplaces that work on eliminating the soul-crushing obedience of rigid chains-of-command, seek out connections with community, foster deep responsibility for the environment, and participate in building movements for positive social change.
