$180 Million Plan to Revitalize African Soil

If all goes according to the proposed scheme, 6.3 hectares of agricultural soil in Sub-Saharan Africa will be resuscitated in a five year plan announced by the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa.

Massey Energy to Pay $20 Million Smackers

Now why aren’t we all in line to give them 20 million smacks in the face?
The Environmental Protection Agency has finally penalized the giant Massey Corporation, an enormously wealthy mining company doing serious business in Kentucky, West Virginia and elsewhere. They apparently found in excess of 4,500 places where mine runoff had tainted nearby waters. News to the you and me. Daily life to the locals.
