New skatepark is awesome. Go check it out. There were going to be contests and stuff but the rainy weather postponed most of the planned festivities. That’s why you’ll see Skatepark Grand Opening in the Community Events list up on the right. The big day has been moved to April 28th.
I missed the opening ceremonies but I heard that if you were there to skate, it was excruciating. “World class this, big day for that, blah, blah, blah…” But I guess any $850,000 gift deserves some kind of introduction.

The long awaited BG Skatepark is opening bright and early tomorrow morning. I will be there. I will not, however, have my board with me. That’s because I no longer have one. The last board I had was a Birdhouse deck. I can’t find an image of it anywhere. It had a drunk penguin on it. That’s about all I can recall. And my first board was a…Veretta? Vendetta? Whatever Marty McFly skated on in Back to the Future. What was the damn name of that board? Someone help me out.
